Meet Your Farmer

Hi, I’m Aimee — a mum, gardener, and the person behind Cedar Springs Homestead on the NSW Central Coast.

I didn’t grow up on a farm, but I was lucky to spend a lot of time on one. My grandparents had 100 acres, and some of my favourite memories are from school holidays spent there with my family — exploring, playing, and just being outside. That time planted a seed in me that’s grown ever since.

As an adult, I worked in hospitality for years, but my real passion took root when I started a veggie garden at home while my eldest was a toddler. From there, something just clicked. That small patch of soil became the start of something bigger.

Over time, I realised that growing food wasn’t just a hobby — it was something I loved deeply. It gave me purpose, peace, and a connection I didn’t know I was missing.

These days, I’m studying permaculture and using that framework to shape the way I grow, harvest, and share what comes from this land.

Since discovering permaculture and the principles of regenerative agriculture, I moved to a 40-acre property shared with my parents and sister to put those ideas into practice. Here, I’m growing food, raising animals, building soil — and slowly creating a living classroom, family sanctuary, and small-scale local food system.

Permaculture gave me the language for something I always believed in: designing with care, intention, and abundance. It’s not just about growing food—it’s about growing a life that reflects my values. That means nourishing my community, working with nature, and crafting goods that care for people and place.

I believe in:

🌱 Knowing your farmer and where your food comes from

🐓 Raising happy, pasture-fed animals

🐝 Working with natural systems, not against them

♻️ Keeping things low-waste, local, and full of life

❤️ Making ethical, intentional choices, even when they’re hard

Our farm is still growing, and so is our story. You’ll find veggies, herbs, preserves, tallow balms, chickens, and more — and maybe a bit of mud, too. We’re not perfect. But we’re real. And that’s what I want to share with you.

Whether you’re picking up a veggie box, a calendula balm, or a jar of homegrown dried herbs, you’re part of this story — one that’s rooted in care, resilience, and a little bit of wild.

Thanks for being here.
